A walker was hospitalised following a multi-agency operation on Granuaile Loop Walk in county Mayo which included Sligo-based Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 118.
Shortly before 6pm on Friday evening, the Achill Island Coast Guard and the Mayo Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist a walker who was suspected to have sustained a leg injury.
After receiving treatment Mountain Rescue Team , Rescue 118 airlifted the man to Mayo University Hospital for further treatment of his injuries.
