Sligo Rovers launch Benny’s Bull Run 2024

Sligo Rovers launched a major fundraising initiative on Thursday as part of the club’s Showgrounds redevelopment drive.

Rovers are asking the people of the North West and Sligo Rovers fans around the world to donate towards Benny’s Bull Run.

The fundraising drive links with the club’s plans to provide a UEFA Category 3 6,000-seater stadium at the Showgrounds to help secure the long-term future of the club.

overs are aiming to have the redeveloped stadium ready for the club’s centenary year in 2028.

It’s anticipated Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Funding from the Government will provide the majority of the redevelopment costs – but the club also has to match a percentage of this.

Witth this in mind, Rovers club mascot Benny the Bull is going to complete Benny’s Bull Run from Queen Maeve Square in Sligo town to the gates of the Showgrounds over two days next week – Friday 5th and Saturday 6th of April.

Every euro donated will see Benny move closer to his destination.

Supporters can make donations online now at bennysbullrun.com.
