They went down 4-0 to Rice College of Westport in Ray MacSharry Park this afternoon.
Goals from Rian Durkan, Simeon Popot and a double from Jack O’Malley saw the Mayo side progress into the final.
The result brings Abbey’s remarkable run to an end, as they lifted the Ulster title with a 1-0 over Loretto College Milford a week ago.
On Thursday, Scoil Mhuire Buncrana have the chance to seal their place in the Dr Tony O’Neill Senior National Cup semi-final against St Gerald’s Castlebar, which will also be played in Ray MacSharry Park in Sligo.
