Gardai in South Donegal issue warning ahead of Bank Holiday weekend



Gardai in South Donegal have issued a warning that they will be out in force this Bank Holiday weekend.

 

In a statement, they say that extra checkpoints and speed checks will be conducted in Ballyshannon, Bundoran and Donegal Town over the course of the weekend.

 

The operation will focus on the five key lifesaver offences of: Driving under the influence, speed, non wearing of seat belts, mobile phone use and dangerous driving.

 

Gardai are urging all road users to act responsibly, make responsible safety decisions on St Patrick’s Day and over the course of the weekend.
