Another candidate has stepped forward to run in the local elections.
Diarmaid Doherty has declared his intention to run as an Independent in the Donegal Municipal District.
A carpenter by trade, Mr Doherty is contesting his second local election having previously been on the 2019 ticket.
Mr Doherty is also former councillor on Bundoran Town Council.
