Local Garda express concern with number of road fatalities in 2024



Motorists across the North West are being urged to reduce their speed this National Slow-Down Day.

 

The campaign aims to reduce the number of fatalities by targeting those driving too fast.

 

Already today a motorists has been detected travelling at 75km/h in a 60km/h Zone on the N4 in Carrick-On-Shannon.

 

 

Garda Paul While is based at Ballyshannon Garda station he earlier expressed concern with the fact that 37 people have already lost their lives on Irish roads so far this year.
