ATU Sligo women’s soccer team’s successful momentum of recent seasons continued on Wednesday when they beat University of Limerick (UL) 6-3 in Maynooth to lift the Lydon Cup for 2024.

ATU had endured a long path to reach the final with multiple lengthy away trips around the country.

Sligo Rovers centre forward Emma Doherty was on song again, scoring a hat-trick in this final.

Aoife Gallanagh, Erin Coyle and Ciara Henry.
