Magh Ene College, Bundoran’s senior girls gaelic footballers won the Ulster Schools under-20 shield final on Monday in Lifford with a 2-9 to 3-5 win over Gaelcholaiste Dhoire.
The Bundoran girls led by five points at the interval (2-8 to 2-3) but had to withstand a spirited second-half rally from their Derry opponents before eventually winning by a single point.
The U20 cup final also brought Donegal success – with St Columba’s Comprehensive School, Glenties, winning on a final scoreline of 3-16 to 2-10 against Bailieborough of Cavan.
