Carrick Town FC have forfeited their remaining league fixtures in Sligo/Leitrim’s Sligo Pallets Junior Soccer League.
League officials confirmed on Saturday that under Rules 45 and 45a, Carrick have been removed from the league with all results of Carrick Town FC reverting as per rule to a 3 – 0 victory to all opponents.
The Leitrim club were struggling this season, with the team languishing at the foot of the Premier League table, having recorded just one league win from their 19 fixtures to date.
