‘I was furious’ – Health Minister slams HSE move to cut allowances for breast cancer survivors



Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, says he was furious when he learned of HSE plans to cut allowances for breast cancer survivors, and ‘killed’ the proposal within 5 minutes. Women who have had mastectomies were entitled to the provision of two specialised bras and one swimming prothesis per year, and the proposal was to cut that to just one bra per year. An incandescent Minister insists it’s not happening
