Coola Post Primary School girls soccer team are through to the FAI Schoolgirls U17 national cup final following Friday’s impressive 4-0 semi-final victory over Donegal and Ulster champions Pobalscoil Gaoth Dobhair, in Monaghan.
Two goals from team captain Orlaith Scanlon as well as strikes by Aoibhinn Doherty and Hayley Mullaney ensured a comprehensive All-Ireland semi-final win for the Sligo school.
Team coach Eamonn Bruen spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan after Friday’s win.
Coola will play Askeaton of Limerick in the National Cup final next month.
