Roisín Flanagan added to Ireland World Indoors team



Finn Valley Athletic Club’s Roisín Flanagan has been added to the Irish team for the World Indoor Championships next week.

Flanagan, a native of Tyrone who runs in the Finn Valley singlet, has been re-allocated a quota spot on the ‘Road to Glasgow’ rankings.

She will compete in the women’s 3000m and comes into this championship having recently set an Irish senior indoor record over two Miles at the Millrose Games in New York.

This brings the Irish representation in Glasgow to 10 athletes.

Sligo Athletic Club sprinter Lauren Cadden is one of nine athletes named on the Ireland team.

She will part of the women’s 4 x 400 metres relay squad.

The World Indoors take place in Glasgow from Friday, March 1st to Sunday, March 3rd.
