Donegal GAA appoints Catriona Sweeney as Integration Officer



Donegal GAA has confirmed the appointment of Burt’s Catriona Sweeney as the county’s new Integration Officer.

Sweeney, who is club secretary of her home club, Burt, also host the position of Irish Language & Cultural Officer on the Donegal County Board.

She will now also lead the integration activity within the county – as the three national organisations, the GAA, the LGFA and the Camogie Association now work towards the propoosed integration date of 2027.

The former Irish President, Mary McAleese, has been leading the Steering Group for Integration nationally over the past 18 months – with the aim of the Gaelic Athletic Association, Ladies Gaelic Football Association and the Camogie Association becoming fully integrated as one organisation by 2027.
