Donegal top Division 2 after win over Fermanagh



Donegal continued their winning start to Division 2 of the Allianz Football League on Saturday with a comfortable 2-16 to 0-8 win over Fermanagh in Letterkenny.

The sides were evenly matched in the opening quarter of the game – with Kieran Donnelly’s side actually moving 0-4 to 0-2 ahead.

The hosts went in 0-6 to 0-5 ahead at the break.

In the second period, it was much more one-sided as Donegal racked up 2-7 without reply at one stage.

Daire O Baoill’s netted two goals – the first of them coming on 42 minutes when he spotted goalkeeper Ross Bogue and netted from distance.

His second came six minutes later when he slotted into the bottom corner.

It’s Donegal’s third league win on the trot – and Fermanagh’s first defeat of this Division 2 league campaign.
