As we head into the various elections over the next number of months there will be more choice on the ballot sheet with the formation of a new Political Party called Independent Ireland.
A spokesperson for the new party says it is likely that they will run candidates in the upcoming council elections, the European elections, and the next general election in the North West Region.
Roscommon East Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice is one of those behind the formation of the party and he earlier explained why he opted to down this route on North West Today.
