An Ardara man who was critically injured in a road traffic accident in America just six weeks ago has made what is being described as made ‘a miraculous recovery’ and returned to Ireland.
Daniel Gallagher was involved in a serious crash in Florida on December 29 last.
Following the accident he required 24 hour care by a team of doctors as they fought to save his life.
His local community in Donegal raised almost €120,000 to help with medical costs and the family of the injured man family to the US.
The Irish Independent are reporting how Mr Gallaher returned to Letterkenny University Hospital on Wednesday after being cleared for discharge at Orlando Regional Medical Centre.
