Visitor attractions in south Donegal honoured at CIE Tours Award of Excellence



Two visitor attractions in south Donegal have been honoured at the CIE Tours Award of Excellence in Dublin this week.

The company brought 25,000 tourists to Ireland last year, and based on their customer’s feedback forms, they presented awards to The Slieve League Visitors’ and Donegal Castle.

 

The Slieve League Cliffs Centre was honoured with the overall CIE Tours Excellence Award for ‘best visit.

 

Visitors with CIE Tours loved the hospitable Donegal welcome, the wealth of information shared as well as the breath-taking views and surrounding scenery that showcases the incredible beauty of Donegal.

 

Meanwhile, Donegal Castle received a Merit Award at the event, with the company saying the awards reflects its high standards and popularity with visitors.

 

CIE Tours interim CEO Stephen Cotter congratulated the Donegal award winners, saying that each make an important contribution to Irish tourism, and to their local communities in terms of jobs and wealth creation.
