Rescue 118 tasked to rescue operation on Inis Meáin this morning



Rescue 118 was tasked to a rescue operation this morning.

It’s understood a fishing vessel ran aground on Inis Meáin at around 6am today.

Four people were on board, and Arranmore all-weather lifeboat and Bunbeg Coast Guard Unit were all tasked alongside the helicopter.

Rescue 118 safely recovered all four people from the boat, and they were brought as far as Donegal Airport. No medical treatment was required, and it is understood all four involved are doing well.
