A Sligo Leitrim TD has questioned the Government’s approach in supporting those seeking international protection here.
Speaking in the Dail this morning, Independent TD Marc MacSharry claimed that in some cases, there are asylum seekers currently a lot better off financially than Irish people.
He also claimed that some refugees are here solely to capitalise on those states supports.
