There are still over 8,000 homes and premises without electricity this afternoon as ESB look to repair the damages caused by storm ISHA over night
The ESB Power check map indicates that the worst affected areas are Aghagad, Arigna and Killybegs areas.
These regions also covers a number of other local communities close by.
The areas in Killybegs included premises in Bundoran Derrybeg and Ballyshannon.
8,144 premises are still without power.
Aghagad takes in parts of Sligo, such as Moneygold and Grange. It’s reported that 3,803 houses are without power there.
While the Arigna region covers Dowra, Drumkeerin, Drumshanbo, Keadue, Ballyfarnon and Geevagh.
1,142 premises are without electricity in this area.
The ESB say they hope to have power restored to the majority of homes by 6 p.m. this evening.
However, with the damage reported to be severe in some cases, there are areas that could be facing a second night without electricity.
