A section of the N4 remains closed and diversions remain in place following a fatal two-vehicle road traffic collision between Sligo and Boyle at Doon.
The collision happened shortly before 5pm on Sunday evening.
A driver of one of the vehicles, a woman in her 80s died, while the other driver, a man in his 30s was brought to Sligo University Hospital for treatment for serious injuries.
