The late Fianna Fáil Councillor Noreen McGarvey will be laid to rest later today.
Councillor McGarvey passed away on Thursday night in the Donegal Hospice.
Elected to Donegal County Council in 2019, Cllr McGarvey has also served as secretary to former TD Pat the Cope Gallagher.
Tributes have been paid to her work ethic and contribution to Fianna Fail, with Tánaiste Michael Martin describing the late Councillor as a true community champion and a long-time and valued member of the party.
Councillor McGarvey’s funeral mass will take place this morning at 11am in St. Columba’s Church Acres with interment in Belcruit Cemetery.
