Donegal’s Amy Boyle Carr joins Adelaide Crows

Donegal county footballer Amy Boyle Carr is heading to Australia to play women’s Australian Rules football with the Adelaide Crows.

The Naomh Conaill woman was a key play in Donegal gaelic footballers run to regain the Ulster senior football title in 2023.

However, she has now opted to follow in the footsteps of Yvonne Bonner,  Niamh McLaughlin, Tanya Kennedy and several other Donegal players in heading down under.

Boyle Carr played League of Ireland soccer with Sligo Rovers for a spell last season – and is a graduate of ATU Sligo.

Boyle-Carr is a three-time Ulster SFC winner and has also represented Ireland at senior International level when she was selected to play in a World Cup qualifier against the Netherlands in 2018, aged 17.
