Sligo Rovers have signed attacking midfielder Simon Power from League of Ireland winners Shamrock Rovers.
The Greystones native, who’s 25 years old, joins on a one-year contract.
As well as Shamrock Rovers, Power previously played with Cabinteely and UCD – and had a spell in England with Norwich City.
During that time, he was a team-mate of former Rovers captain Kyle Callen-McFadden at Kings Lynn Town in the National League.
He becomes the third new signing for Rovers boss John Russell, after the arrivals to the Showgrounds of JR Wilson and Wilson Waweru.
Power spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan following his signing on Wednesday.
Rovers also unveiled the club’s new ‘third’ kit (below) for the 2024 season – which will replace the black kit from last season.
