False stories in circulation over immigrants in Ireland, Dail hears



The Dail has heard that there are a lot of false stories in circulation over immigrants in Ireland.

 

It comes as it was revealed this week that accommodation for international protection seekers has run out in the country.

 

Drop-in day services will be provided for international protection applicants who cannot be accommodated, with tents and sleeping bags provided where required.

 

Speaking during a debate on a motion on immigration, Sligo Leitrim Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny was critical of the Direct Provision system:
