Holders St Attracta’s (Tubbercurry) recorded a 2-7 to 0-10 victory over St Joseph’s ‘The Bish’ of Galway in Group 2 at Bekan on Wednesday to book their place in the knockout stages of the Connacht Colleges senior ‘B’ football championship.
Their quarter-final will take place in New Year.
In the ‘A’ championship, Summerhill College’s scheduled home game against Rice College, Westport, was put back until next week.
Elsewhere, there was disappointment for Colaiste Iascaigh hurling’s Connacht junior final on Tuesday, as they lost out narrowly to Roscommon Community College in the provincial ‘D’ final, by 3-9 to 2-8.
