Number of patients on trolleys increase in the North West



There has been a sharp increase in the number of patients waiting on Hospital beds locally today.

 

The combined total for Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals stands at 73 an increase of 15 on yesterday’s figure.

 

Today, the INMO Trolley watch report states  here are 46 people waiting on a bed at Sligo University resulting in it being once again the third most over-crowded in the Country.

 

The number of patients waiting on beds in Letterkenny has also increased from 22 to 27 in Letterkenny.

 

Nationally the overall figure has decreased from 571 to 546 with University Hospital Limerick and Cork University Hospitals the two most over-crowded in the Country.
