Former Northern Ireland and Celtic footballer Paddy McCourt has successfully appealed against an assault conviction.
The 40-year-old, from Wheatfield Court in County Donegal, was found guilty after a trial in May of the incident involving a woman at a bar in Derry in January last year.
McCourt successfully appealed this morning after the Public Prosecution Service offered no evidence.
