Dromahair Residents defend decision to seek exclusive access to Community Engagement Team

A spokesperson for the Dromahair Concerned Citizens group says it was felt that having rival groups at last night’s meeting with the Community Engagement Team would be counter-productive.

Fiona McPadden Speaking earlier to OceanFM news earlier this morning outlined how her group had requested the meeting and wanted to make sure that all their views was aired in a calm fashion with the Engagement team.

Last night’s meeting was told that there will be no immediate arrival of refugees to Abbey Manor Hotel due to a planning issue.

Fiona McPadden outlined in the interview how local concerns will now be relayed to the Department of integration.

She confirmed that there would also welcome representatives from the Leitrim For All Group at future meetings.
