Ruth Maxwell was walking to work in May 2016 and was attacked by a man wielding a hunting knife in Dublin. She was left with life changing injuries and out of what happened to her, she has worked with the Law Reform Commission to increase sentencing for knife crime. Ruth has relocated to Sligo when she has found solace.
