There are calls for the speed limit outside all schools in Donegal to be reduced to 30km per hour.
It comes following a number of serious incidents, particularly south of the county, in recent months.
It’s to be brought forward by way of a motion at today’s sitting of Donegal County Council by Fine Gael Cllr Barry Sweeney.
He says it’s something that’s long overdue but acknowledged that it will only work with driver compliance:
