Strong local interest in girls U15 soccer interpros



Four players from Sligo/Leitrim are on the Connacht squad for the FAI Schools under-15 Girls interpros at the AUL Complex in Dublin this weekend.

The annual 3-day tournament brings together up to 70 of the top players from post-primary schools throughout the country.

The Sligo Leitrim quartet in the Connacht squad are: Amber Gray-Harrigan (Strand Celtic) and Ellen Gilmartin (Benbulben FC) from the Mercy College in Sligo; Ava Hallinan (Kilglass Enniscrone Utd) from Jesus and Mary Secondary School, Enniscrone and Grace Devaney (Manor Rangers) from St. Clare’s Comprehensive School in Manorhamilton.

Connacht face Leinster in the opening game on Friday afternoon and will face Ulster and Munster in games on Saturday and Sunday.

Megan Gallagher from (Abbey Vocational School is one of 13 Donegal players on the Ulster squad.
