Cllr Sinead Maguire announces her decision not to run in local elections



The Fine Gael Cllr Sinead Maguire has confirmed that she will not be running in the local elections next year.

 

The Sligo-Strandhill Councillor has been a member of the local authority since 2014.

 

In 2019 she was selected to contest the General Election in the Sligo Leitrim Constituency however she withdrew her Dail candidacy before the elections took place in February of 2020 due to family commitments.

Cllr Maguire is the only Fine Gael representative for the Sligo-Strandhill MD, attentions will now turn as to who the party may put forward as a candidate for the elections in June 2024.
