Popular Donegal Town business to close its doors

Bookselling Ireland says the expansion of the free schoolbooks scheme will have a devastating effect on its members.

The government announced the move as part of the Budget earlier this month.

The Free School Books Scheme is set to be expanded to secondary schools to include first, second, and third-year students from next year.

Earlier this month it was announced that a well-established local school supply business had taken the decision to close at the end of the month.

Sprint Educational Supplies has stores in Donegal Town and Letterkenny.

The stores will shut their doors for the final time on Tuesday.
