Former Leitrim county manager takes over as interim head of Peter McVerry Trust



The former Leitrim County Manager Danny McLoughlin has been appointed as interim Chief Executive of the Peter McVerry Trust.

His appointment was announced on Friday.

Francis Doherty resigned from the role a breakdown in trust with the charity’s board.

The charity has been struggling with serious cash flow issues and significant debts for several months.

The board of the charity have confirmed that Mr McLoughlin would take over as interim chief executive from the start of this week.

He retired as Chief Executive of South Dublin County Council earlier this year.

The Arigna native also previously served as CEO of Westmeath County Council.
