A Killybegs man came to the rescue of Achill RNLI last week.
The RNLI crew were in Killybegs last week when a serious engine problem was detected, leaving the crew stranded in Donegal.
Local fisherman and fellow RNLI member, Eamon McHugh, sent his company minibus to rescue the crew, and brought them back to Achill at no charge.
In a statement on social media, Achill RNLI thanked Mr McHugh for his generosity, labelling him as “one of their own”.
