Former Aodh Ruadh manager Barry Ward has been appointed as the new Donegal minor football team manager for the 2024.
Ward, who works as an Executive Planner with Sligo County Council, was Donegal’s county U16 manager this season, leading the team to a Buncrana Cup final.
He previously managed his hometown club, Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon, to intermediate championship and Division 2 titles.
As a player he won a Sigerson Cup winners medal with Queen’s University in 2000.
Ward success Luke Barrett who had managed the minors for the past three seasons.
Barrett is now part of Jim McGuinness’ backroom team with the Donegal seniors.
