Fórsa members working in Local Authorities around the country are set to escalate their industrial action from next week.
They are currently embroiled in a dispute over the lack of a job evaluation scheme for workers in the sector.
A 24-hour email ban will come into effect on Friday, September 22nd, which will be followed by a 48-hour telephone ban on Tuesday 26th September and Wednesday 27th September if the demands of the workers are not met.
The telephone ban will include calls on all local authority phone lines, including online video calls and social media platforms.
