Sligo Rovers beaten 4-0 by Shamrock Rovers



Sligo Rovers remain second from bottom in the women’s SSE Airtricity Premier Division following Saturday evening’s 4-0 loss to Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium.

Despite the return of team captain Emma Hansberry and Republic of Ireland U16 international Keeva Flynn from international duty, Rovers were second-best on the evening to their opponents.

Two goals from team captain and recently-retired Republic of Ireland senior international Aine O’Gorman – along with  strikes from Lia O’Leary and Scarlett Herron secured the points for the ‘Dublin’ Rovers.

They now move up to joint-second in the LOI table behind current leaders Peamount United.
