Sligo’s Brian Colsh begins World Rowing Championships challenge

Ballymote’s Brian Colsh and the Irish men’s quadruple sculls begin their World Rowing Championships challenge on Monday morning in Belgrade when they go in heat 2 at 10:44am Irish time.

Ireland, who’ve been drawn in lane 6, are in a tough heat as it also includes two of the favourites in this event, Romania and the Netherlands.

The first two boats will qualify automatically for the semi-finals – with the remaining crews going into the repechage.
