An alert has been issued to sea swimmers in the Bundoran area as the lifeguard season is nearing its end.
Lifeguards at Bundoran beach are on duty until this Sunday.
They are back on for the weekend only the 9th and 10 of September and then finished for the season.
In a statement, Bundoran RNLI have asked beach goers to be extra careful of the consistent rip current on the Great Northern side of the beach.
People are also urged to consider using the Thrupeeny pool or the West end Nun’s pool if no lifeguards are on duty.
