Search for missing man stood down following the discovery of a body at Rosses Point



The search for a missing Roscommon man has been stood down following the discovery of a body in Sligo.

 

 

The body of a man was discovered yesterday afternoon, at Rosses Point in Sligo.

 

 

As a result the missing person appeal for Paul Carthy who was 52 years of age and with an address in Scramogue, Co. Roscommon has ended.

 

 

Gardaí in Sligo have thanked the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, the Irish Coast Guard and Sligo Fire Services as well as members of the public for their assistance in this matter.
