Donegal GAA call county board meeting for this Monday

Donegal GAA has brought forward its next county committee meeting to this Monday evening in Convoy at 7:30pm, with one item on the agenda – the senior football team manager appointment.

All the indications are that the meeting is set to recommend the return of Jim McGuinness as the county’s senior manager.

It’s understood that the five-person selection committee, which includes 1992 All-Ireland winners Anthony Molloy and Martin McHugh, will make a presentation to the County Executive before Monday’s meeting begins.

Donegal GAA normally holds its county committee meetings for the first Monday of each month, so its next scheduled meeting wasn’t due until September 2.

However, clubs have now been informed of a special meeting to take place in Convoy this Monday evening, when the position of manager is set to be addressed.

Monday’s County Board meeting, which is closed to media, is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm.
