Investigations ongoing into packages found on Donegal beaches



Gardaí are continuing their investigation into a number of suspicious packages that washed up on the Donegal coastline.

The packages which are believed to contain cocaine, weigh approximately 60kg with an estimated street value in excess of €4 million.

The bales of suspected cocaine were found up on beaches in Fanad, and Dunfanaghy.

Yesterday, a boat was impounded as part of a Garda investigation into the incident.

Gardaí in Milford are continuing their searches with the assistance of the Garda Air Support Unit and the Garda Water Unit along the North Donegal and Fanad Head Coastline.
