The overall number of those waiting on trolleys at the North West’s two main hospitals has decreased by one in figures published by the INMO.
The number has decreased at Sligo University Hospital where 24 people were waiting for a bed this morning, a decrease of 2 on yesterday.
However, Sligo University Hospital does remain the third most overcrowded facility in the country today.
Letterkenny University Hospital has seen an increase in its overall figures with 8 waiting there, an increase of 3 on Wednesday morning’s figures.
Nationally, University Hospital Limerick remains the country’s most overcrowded facility with 85.
The total number of patients across the country stands at 358 today according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.4
