Saolta Hospitals continue to struggle with overcrowding issues



Sligo university Hospital remains the third most overcrowded hospital in the entire country today.

 

There are currently 51 patients on trollies a increase of three on yesterday’s figures.  30 of the patients are currently waiting in the Hospital’s emergency department.

 

Another Hospital in the Saolta Group, Galway University Hospital has 54 people on trollies while Limerick University Hospital is reporting 81 patients on trollies.

 

There has been a significant reduction at Letterkenny University Hospital with the number falling from 27 yesterday to 8 today.

 

Nationally there are 371 people waiting on hospital beds across the country today 35 less than yesterday.
