Sligo rugby player Kuba Wojtkowicz earned his first full senior international cap for Poland in Saturday’s game against Georgian.

‘Kuba’ as he’s popularly known scored a try in Poland’s 52-26 loss to the Georgians.

Kuba, who’s been a mainstay of the Sligo senior men’s rugby team at Hamilton Park in Strandhill for several seasons, becomes first player from Sligo Rugby to earn a full international cap while still playing with the club.

Prior to this, he played international rugby with the Ireland U20 team, where he marked his debut appearance by scoring a try in the World U20 Championship.
