Sligo-Leitrim girls under-14 soccer team have reached the last eight of Gaynor Cup in Limerick following in impressive showing in the group stages at the University of Limerick this week.
Wins over Roscommon (5-0) and Kerry (2-0) helped the Sligo-Leitrim girls top their group.
It sets up a quarter-final tie on Saturday with Metropolitan Girls League North from Dublin.
The game kicks off at 5pm.
The Gaynor Cup is one of the country’s most prestigious underage national competitions each year.
25 inter-league teams are competing in this year’s competition, which continues all this week in Limerick, with the finals scheduled for Saturday.
