Donegal TD told to ‘calm himself down’ by Housing Minister



The Housing Minister has told a Donegal TD has told ‘calm himself down’ during a debate on the Governments approach to the housing crisis.

 

Sinn Fein TD Pearse Doherty accused the policies of Minister Darragh O’Brien and the Government resulting in the collapse of home ownership.

 

Deputy Doherty made reference to the data released in the Census figures this week which reflect a drop in the number of people who own their own homes.

 

But responding, Minister O’Brien didn’t accept the claims and was interrupted by Deputy Doherty while defending the Government approach.

 

This also resulted in slap on the wrist from the Ceann Comhairle:
