One of Leitrim’s smallest GAA clubs, Drumreilly, celebrates an important milestone this weekend – its 40th birthday.
The club has had football in the parish dating back to the early 1900s – but the current incarnation of the club has been in existence since 1983.
To mark its 40th birthday, several special events on and off the playing fields have been organised this weekend.
These will culminate in a ‘Reeling in the Years’ night this Saturday evening from 7pm in Drumcoura City in Ballinamore, where club connections past and present will recall the key moments and stories from the club’s 40-year history in a special chat night.
